Focus Groups
Our process begins with you! CPI Focus Groups will be comprised of parents and caregivers in each of our partnering Family of Parishes. The focus groups will provide members with the opportunity to build community, to pray together, to share stories and experiences, and to provide insight and feedback to the CPI Program Advocate about what they would like to see from the Catholic Parenting Initiative

Parent-led Formation
CPI’s approach is grounded in current research in faith transmission, catechesis, parenting, and human development, but it is important to us that our program and event design be informed by the desires and needs of the parents and caregivers in the communities we are serving. We want to listen to our focus groups and for our focus group members to know that they have a voice and feel empowered that they can positively impact their parish communities. Our hope is to be innovative and to focus on the formation of the whole person, which will translate into formation of the whole family. The CPI Focus Group will be led by the Program Advocate and will meet quarterly. The Program Advocate will serve as the group’s point of contact with the CPI Program Director and Design Team. He or she will be a friendly face at the parish, will accompany members, and provide ongoing support. We ask that in addition to being part of this community, that focus group members work to spread the word about CPI and do their part to build relationships and a culture of belonging at the parish, by reaching out to other parents and caregivers in your parish striving to create a stronger parish community.
